Halau Ku Mana (HKM) is Hawaiian-focused charter school that serves O'ahu based students from 6th-12th grades through project-based, culturally-driven programs. Halau Ku Mana's vision is to facilitate individual and community healing and empowerment by fostering life long learners who think, feel and act in ways that are pono; for recognizing strengths and addressing challenges as they seek positive, systemic change in their local, regional and global communities.
Halau Ku Mana continues to be recognized internationally. Most recently, HKM was selected to represent Hawai'i and Hawaiian culture through a traveling exhibit, hosted by the United Nations International Year of the Forest Committee.
Thanks to a generous contribution from the Institute for Practical Robotics, Halau Ku Mana offers STEM experiences through our robotics club. Students of all ages are in engaged in fun, hands-on math and science activities. Halau Ku Mana is alao proud of their aspiring Math students; an 11th grader won a trophy and top honors at a National Trigonometry competition.
