Halau Lokahi NCPCS
We are a K-12 ohana oriented school rooted deeply in the Hawaiian culture that provides 21st century learners with the opportunity to experience hands-on learning through a well-rounded curriculum. We encourage our students to "think beyond the box" and use their creative intelligences to think critically and problem solve effectively and to become self-responsibly free citizens.
We use our surrounding environment (mauka to makai) as living laboratories that provide innovative hand-on learning experiences for our students. Encouraging quality education that is safe, supportive and nurturing by providing a culturally holistic, spiritually grounded and mentally stimulating learning environment.
Halau Lokahi students engage in several academic experiences through a variety of venues (eg; Partners in Development, D.A.R.E., Malama Aina, Kokua Kalihi Valley, Pacific Writer Connection, Super Computer, Hiki No Project; PBS, Brown Bags to Stardom).
