Opened as a school-within-a-school in 1994, WHEA has a 17 year history of innovation and academy excellence. Nationally recognized by the George Lucas Educational Foundation, Intel and Scholastic's Schools of Distinction Award Program, and Blue Ribbon Schools.
Our mission is to provide learning opportunities through integrative, hands-on, self-selected projects related to authentic, real world problems.
